PURPOSE — El Bethel Bible College exists to serve the body of Christ (universal) by recruiting, training, mentoring and helping to establish those called to full time ministry (Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers) and to train lay people in foundational truths and assist them in discovering there spiritual abilities, thus furthering the advancement of the Kingdom of God.
STATEMENT OF FAITH — While EBBC is administered as a non-denominational school, we believe and teach the Word of God as literal and contemporary for today’s Christian. We do not promote or impose any denomination as a prerequisite to attending EBBC. However, we do require and admonish that the student be a believer in Jesus as Lord of their life, and that said student faithfully attend the church of his choosing on a regular basis. It is suggested that our students approach their pastor and gain permission to take part in the church activities that may assist the student in preparing and carrying out the ministry of Christ.
As before mentioned, we are a non-denominational school, however, we do teach the fullness of the Word as pertaining to the administration of the nine gifts of the Spirit as found in 1 Corinthians 12, 13, 14. We believe that when the student approaches this topic outside of a denominational doctrine, they will see that the administration of the gifts of the Spirit are real and for the child of God to achieve the very best in ministering to the needs of mankind.
EBBC offers ministerial preparation courses provided through the Pentecostal Church of God (PC of G). These courses prepare the student to either obtain License or go on to be Ordained with that organization. EBBC reserves the right to issue credentials under the charter of El Bethel Church to anyone who applies, can show sufficient proof of qualification, and is approved. However, such credential may not be recognized by all denominations or churches as a credential from the PC of G. Each independent organization may or may not recognize a person’s credential or educational achievements. Usually, inter-organizational recognition is as a courtesy to the sister organization and the credentialed clergy of that organization.
The Pentecostal Church of God, Michigan district, has assured EBBC that they will consider any applicant recommended to them by EBBC.
FROM THE PASTOR
It has been a dream of mine for many years to have a college to train young men and women to minister the gospel. I understand that there are many fine colleges and universities; but these are often very expensive, quite a distance to get to, or very often, not sufficient to the need of the student. Therefore, I felt the need to begin a Bible college that would prepare men and women for ministry and also supply laypeople with the tools needed to greatly enhance their ability to effectively witness for Christ. A college that would not only meet these requirements, but be affordable and easy to get to. I believe that El Bethel Bible College (EBBC) meets or exceeds that criteria.
Paul instructed Timothy to “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (1 Timothy 2:15) It is the responsibility of every person to prepare themselves in such a way that they may give a true and correct answer to them who question the faith. As the scripture says, “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear” (1 Peter 3:15).
My prayer is that EBBC will help you achieve your goal of becoming the man or woman of God you desire to be. God bless you and thank you for considering EBBC.
